Jimbobart was founded by illustrator James Ward in 2009. Inspired by his love of drawing animals and birds, James creates original illustrations on ceramics, homeware, clothing and artwork that mirror or subvert animal behaviour, mirroring human characteristics. He hopes to make people smile – recognising themselves or others – in his designs. Packing materials To reduce single-use plastics, we now use paper or card only in our packaging and biodegradable bubble wrap. We of course still need to use packaging to protect products travelling to you, but if you can re-use as much as possible (including the pizza boxes plates are sent in!) you’ll be helping the recycling chain. London to Brighton

Another reason 2017 has flown is because of packing up my London shop and moving to Brighton. I’m now set up in a studio in the Laines and getting settled in. Apart from spending a lot of time in the sea, my top five so far if you’re ever visiting: Unlimited – curates some great artists and designers. It’s just round the corner so impossible not to keep popping in. Beer Dispensary – great beer and atmosphere. Favourite Brighton pub by a long shot. Time flies when you’re having fun

Time has flown so much I’m only just blogging about the commission from the lovely people at White Stuff for their spring ‘17 collection. It was a lot of fun working on the brief and to see my designs in store and catalogues, as well as White Stuff creating a Kids’ Activity Pack.           At the launch event, we came up with a 'live draw' event, with me drawing a mug for guests tailored to their choice of outfit. Tough to pick a favourite from the day, but Tim the Pug in a fetching yellow cycling top was probably mine......
